Torpedohallen was erected after World War II with funds from the Marshall Plan, where the property was used to build torpedo boats according to German drawings. The project transformed the property into 70 exclusive high-quality apartments, both in terms of craftsmanship and architecture. The property is particularly striking with its inner courtyard and basin, which was originally used for launching the newly built torpedo boats and today serves as a recreational area where residents can put their kayaks in the water. Proximity to the water on all sides and the New York-inspired raw apartments with large ceiling height and the original visible steel beams have made the property something quite unique, attracting significant attention to the project. The project has been awarded by Copenhagen Municipality. 2L together with Tegnestuen Vandkunsten developed the project, which was executed in joint venture with NCC.
